Derek Carr, a former Raiders QB, is looking for a big payday this summer
ESPN's Dianna Russini reported that Carr wants a contract that'll pay him at least $35 million per year. She also said the four-time Pro Bowler doesn’t need to be the first quarterback to sign in free agency.
Carr's contract demands have now been made public, which Football thinks is quite intriguing. Perhaps this is an indication that his market has not yet developed
New Orleans' Nick Underhill. Football finds it fascinating that Carr's contract requests have now been made public. Perhaps it's an indication that his market hasn't yet developed
"Interesting that Derek Carr's contract desires are becoming public," Underhill tweeted. "Must mean the money isn't there yet. $35 million doesn't feel like a lot, but maybe his market ends up being closer to $25-30 million.
Carr is being pursued by a slew of teams, according to ESPN source Jeremy Fowler
"I was told from various sources around the league that three other teams have called and connected with Carr," Fowler said on NFL Live. "We know the Saints and Jets he visited with, but there are some others in the mix."
Carr has proven himself as a dependable and competent quarterback. In today's football world, giving him $35 million per year seems about right
